convenient stay near parks and landmarks for city strolls
I really enjoyed my stay here, especially with the close proximity to the stunning Exeter Cathedral and the scenic Exeter Quay, both just over a kilometer away, making it an easy stroll for all my sightseeing adventures without feeling rushed. plus, the staff were super friendly, going out of their way to find a table for us at the popular carvery next door, which was absolutely delicious and worth the wait.

Cozy family getaway
Had a lovely time with the fam! The staff were super friendly and helpful. Our room was cozy, and the beds were comfy. My picky kiddo even ate all her food, which says a lot! The only bummer was the limited parking spots, so we had to hunt around for a space. Still, we’ll def be back!

The staff provided exceptional service, particularly the chef, who crafted delightful meals and fostered a warm atmosphere. The location was convenient for exploring, and unexpected amenities like instant coffee were a pleasant surprise. noise from outside was noticeable at times, and the windows are in need of replacement to enhance comfort. A fan was provided to help with the heat, which was appreciated.

We had a fantastic time at this pub-style accommodation! The teenagers loved the lively bar area and regular live sports on TV. The location was perfect for exploring the city and the quay. Plus, the room was clean and comfy, ensuring a pleasant stay.
In my wife’s opinion, an earlier breakfast would be great for families with children.

The chef here is a gem, whipping up fantastic meals that make your mouth water, while the staff are always ready to help with a smile. There are cozy spots to relax with a book and pleasant live music on certain nights, which really adds to the vibe. Just a heads up, the windows could use some updating as they didn't fully block out the street noise, but it didn't ruin my stay at all. 😊

I stayed for five nights and the room was alright overall. It was clean and the staff were nice, which made my stay comfortable. The location is great, with easy access to nice restaurants and close proximity to the Cathedral. the shared bathroom setup was a bit inconvenient, and noise from the bar below could be bothersome at night.

stayed for 1 night and the staff were super friendly, really comfy bed and the location was perfect, right in the city centre. the room was clean and had all the basics we needed. also loved having the pub downstairs for food in the evening, made it easy!
only downsize was that it could use a bit of updating and it was kinda noisy at night with people coming back from the pub.

The hotel is ideally located near the town center, offering a variety of pubs and restaurants within walking distance. While the room decor might need some refreshment, the staff were exceptionally welcoming. It was a bit noisy at night, but overall, a pleasant and comfortable experience.

A Mixed Bag of Experiences
The room fell short of expectations. The bed was especially uncomfortable, but the staff was helpful. Onsite dining had a limited menu, yet the breakfast was decent. For a better experience, consider requesting a room away from the street to minimize noise.
